The online M.S. in educational research prepares you to conduct research, evaluate programs and policies and translate current research into practical language. Our graduates are working in research units housed in educational agencies at the state and local level, non-profits and private employers who value internal research capacity.

Program Highlights

In this program, students receive a comprehensive understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods as they are applied to the study of education.

Coursework is available in the following areas: Statistics, measurement, program evaluation, computer applications, qualitative research and education informatics.

Admissions Requirements

When applying to the Educational Research (online program), M.S. program, you will need to submit several documents for review.

  • Online Application
  • Application Fee of $50
  • Goals Statement (upload with the application)
  • Resume (upload with the application)
  • Two Letters of Recommendation (identify your recommenders on the application)
  • Official Transcript: minimum 2.5 undergraduate GPA required for admission
    • submit transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
  • GRE scores: institution code 5251
    • scores may not be more than five years old at time of application

IMPORTANT: Georgia State University is not authorized to deliver online academic programs to out-of-state students residing in Kentucky and Massachusetts.
