Every day, Georgia State University honors the brave men and women who have served our country, with resources and services that help them through the process of pursuing higher education.
In recognition of these efforts, Georgia State has been named among the U.S. News and World Report’s 2024 Best Colleges for Veterans, selected as one of the Best For Vets 2024 Colleges and listed as a Military Friendly School by Military Friendly, a rating entity that identifies companies and schools with ideal resource allocation and policies for veterans.
Georgia State established its Military Outreach Center (MOC) in 2012 to support its military-connected students across all six campuses and online. With one MOC on each campus, military-connected students across the university can receive assistance with the unique challenges they often face when transitioning from the military to college life.

The Military Outreach Center takes a holistic approach to assisting military-connected students reach their educational goals by providing the academic and professional resources necessary for success."
In addition to transition assistance and help with the application, enrollment and graduation processes, the MOC provides employment guidance and connects military students with off- and on-campus resources, as well as scholarship opportunities. Current service members and their families can also access customized resources on the MOC website.
No matter their education level or career goals, military-connected students are welcomed and embraced by Georgia State University.
