Georgia State University Takes Top Ranks for Student Veteran Support
Georgia State is ranked the No. 1 “Military Friendly” Tier 1 Research Institution and the No.1 “Best for Vets” university in the Southeast. The rankings are by Military Friendly and Military Times, respectively. Georgia State moved up two spots in the “Best for Vets” survey to the No. 4 university in the nation for 2024.
Military Times provides the nation’s largest and most comprehensive ranking of schools for military service members and veterans, helping them make informed decisions about career planning and how to use their education benefits earned through military service.

The Military Outreach Center takes a holistic approach to assisting military-connected students reach their educational goals by providing the academic and professional resources necessary for success."
The ranking provides details about a school’s costs, programs, policies and services that affect military-connected students. The ranking also uses federal data from the U.S. Department of Education, Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense in determining its rankings.
